Hello August! Although we’re nearing the end of the summer, wedding season is still amongst us! Whether you’re attending a wedding, the festivities, or planning one yourself, the age old question always arises – “What am I going to wear?” As someone who is planning their own wedding that’s almost a month away, I’ve had this particular thought time and time again. Whenever I am in need of fashion inspiration, I take to Pinterest. More recently, I’ve started creating fashion sets on Polyvore, where I can piece together entire outfits –shoes, makeup, and accessories included, and my budget has no limit (A girl can dream right?). With that said, I’ve put together three different sets for three different wedding occasions – Bachelorette, rehearsal dinner, and wedding:
Set #1: Girls Night Out, AKA the Bachelorette Party!
A curve hugging dress with a deep plunge, paired with a sparkly clutch, bracelets, and topped with a neon pink patent leather sandal? Sounds like a bachelorette party ensemble to me! The bachelorette party is typically the night where you are free to express yourself, and bring out your fun, and fashionable side.
For a flirty yet classy look, you never want to wear a short dress with sky high stilettos. To create a fashionable balance, I paired the mid-length blue bustier sleek dress with neon pink Giuseppe Zanotti sandals to give it that POP that I am usually looking for. As a lover of all things pretty, I also love anything that sparkles and shines. Once I found this pastel multicolored gem clutch clutch from Aldo, I was OBSESSED!! I would definitely say this clutch is the signature piece of the entire outfit. Because the clutch is so extravagant, wearing earrings and/or a necklace isn’t necessary. To pull everything together, I would complete this look with the simple gold bangles with turquoise jewels similar to above. Remember, this outfit is all about balance. Pairing a simple plunge dress with a jewel crusted clutch gives it just enough balance to create a fashionable and fun look for your girl’s night out! With this ensemble, I’m sure you’ll want to take plenty of pictures to post on your Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook the day after while you’re recovering from your fun night out with your favorite ladies!
Nothing says romance more than pastel colors, lace, a bodycon and/or skater dress. Luckily in this set, I have combined all four Whether you are the bride-to-be, or a guest attending a rehearsal dinner, both outfits are a must. With the future Mrs. in mind, I paired the oh so appropriate Edie Parker Mrs. box clutch with a white bodycon midi, and completed with the super feminine Amika Patent Leather & Lace Pumps by Jimmy Choo. Because less is more at times, I decided to choose only one accessory, as opposed to a few to completet he look. I paired both ensembles with the with the Kate Spade Cupchain Chandelier earrings, as the pink and gold pick up on the clutch and shoes.
If you’re the bride that has no interest in wearing white for every occasion, or a guest of a rehearsal dinner party, the yellow skater dress is also a great option! Since these dresses are fit and flare, they look great on all body types, and are also very feminine. This dress can be paired with the same earrings and shoes as the white mid-length bodycon. For guests, I would substitute the sparkly Mrs. Clutch for a nude clutch, as you wouldn’t want to take away from the Bride’s outfit on her special occasion! In my eyes, both options are FFP – Feminine, fabulous, and perfect for rehearsal night!
Set #3: Evening Wedding Attire
All events have led to the big day – the wedding day! Believe me, every single outfit is important, but cameras will be flashing left and right for the whole duration of the wedding, so you want to look your absolute best!
Not only do I love things that sparkle, I also love to mix high and low fashion. Now if only my wallet liked to mix high fashion with high fashion…but that’s another post for another time LOL. Let’s talk evening wedding wear:
Would you believe me if I told you this army green draped dress was from H&M? Yes, you read that right, H&M. Just because the dress is from a very reasonably priced store, who says you can’t turn it into evening wear? Depending on your budget, I would say this set is the most reasonably priced of the three sets. As I said with the bachelorette outfit, I love adding an extra POP to any ensemble. With this set, that pop is a bold lip – Candied Red by Bobbi Brown. When you wear an ensemble with neutral colors you can never go wrong with a red lip. To add a touch of elegance and to pick up with one another, I’ve paired the H&M dress with Gianvito Rossi stilettos, Alexis Bittar dangling petal gold earrings, and a black Aldo clutch (Can you tell I love Aldo’s accessories?). Going a step further, I would recommend our Panache-istas wearing the hair or back up to show off the beautiful earrings, as well as your gorgeous face.
So which was your favorite ensemble? Bachelorette Party? Rehearsal Dinner? Wedding? I would love to know! I hope I’ve been able to give you some inspiration for what to wear to your next wedding event! Remember, these sets were created for inspiration, but are also totally available to shop for and duplicate! To find out where I found these picks, look for me on Polyvore – Glamourena.
Happy Wedding Season!
