The goal for finding the most flattering styles for your shape is to put together looks that will elongate your figure, balance your hips and your shoulders, all while showing off your curves.

Remember 3 important things
1. Your objective is to draw the eye up. Always wear something darker and slimming on the bottom, and save all of your fun colors, prints, and details for your tops and jackets. This doesn’t mean you have to avoid color altogether on the bottom, just make sure that your bottom is solid in color and darker than whatever you have on top.

2. Make sure your tops and jackets don’t end at your hips which would draw attention to the area you are trying to deemphasize. Puff Sleeves, and shoulder details, and embellished necklines work great for your shape.

3. Avoid dresses that in anyway cling to your belly or hips and stay away from capri or tapered pants which all drive more attention to your tummy and hip areas. Go for clean, tailored lines on the bottom. A-line, pencil skirts, and flat front slacks will be perfect!

Below are a few dresses that are great examples of silhouettes that will be most flattering on your lovely pear shape!
